Classical dull embroidery threads are cotton in the English ticket numbers of NeB 50, 30, and 25. Even though cotton was predominantly overtaken by the shiny sheen of polyester and rayon threads, there are other applications like country style or home textiles where dull embroidery thread is very important.

An outstanding alternative to cotton threads are the highly developed threads of Rasant and Saba.
Both products have a similar appearance to look exactly like cotton thread and at the same time they have definite advantages:

• Higher resistance against rubbing
• A balanced elasticity
• Less shrinkage in boiling water

SABA can be used for chlorine and stonewashing processes. Embroidery patterns made for cotton Nr. 50 or for embroidery threads Nr. 40 can be done by ordering Rasant / Saba 120.
Cotton Nr. 25 / 30 or embroidery thread Nr. 30 can be substituted with Rasant 75 or Saba 80.
