AMANN LIFECYCLE THREADS
Consequently AMANN takes advantage of all opportunities for the ongoing optimisation of the eco-balances in its sewing thread products. The new brand AMANN LIFECYCLE THREADS, which has been launched recently, covers products made of organic cotton and recycled polyester. Of course in highest AMANN product quality.
AMANN LIFECYCLE THREADS made of recycled polyester
In a growing market for recycled polyester the availability of the high-tenacity qualities required for sewing thread remains relatively limited. In close cooperation with producers and international textile laboratories, the quantities of suitable material have been carefully examined to see if they meet our high demands, before being introduced for new developments.
LIFECYCLE Bulk – The texturised continuous filament made of recycled polyester for versatile use. Its softness, volume and bulkiness provide a most pleasant seam and excellent coverage. Ideally suited for overedged seams and as looper and cover thread for cover seams. Effective for women's wear, men's fashion, underwear, work and sports wear.
LIFECYCLE Continuous – the sewing thread made from strong, durable, high-tenacity polyester continuous filaments meets the high standards of seam quality, seam strength, and seam appearance and is suitable for most diverse applications.
AMANN LIFECYCLE THREADS made of organic cotton
A sewing thread made of organic cotton will soon be presented to the market under the LIFECYCLE brand too.
In addition, in a series of comprehensive tests we are examining other natural renewable raw materials and biopolymers to see if they meet our high quality requirements.
StrongFIX - The new glue thread
StrongFIX is a polyamide/polyester multifilament thread with a completely new thread construction. It is used as melting thread for the additional fixing of inside hidden seams e.g. hems on trousers and skirts to provide enhanced durability. Please note our sewing recommendations for StrongFIX which can be requested under nt@amann.com.

| Strongfix | Strongfix is a polyamide/polyester continuous filament with a completely new thread construction for serging seams to provide enhanced durability on blindstitch hems (e.g. trousers and skirts). LIFECYCLE Art – belongs to LIFECYCLE range too and is also a recycled polyester continuous filament and is characterized by good wash, boil, and lightfastnesses and resistances to chlorine and abrasion. The thread was originally developed for embroidering but can be used for sewing too.
